Music is one of the foundations of our school; one of our ten POWERS. It is a feature of every lesson from the youngest groups upwards. We repeat new words and phrases. We consolidate what we learn. We go to language camps. We record albums for international projects – all to the rhythm of music.
Every day at Early Stage music is a tool and a means to make learning more effective and pleasant. During this school year, we have decided to make it the central theme of our FEEL THE MUSIC project.
Specially written and composed for the project, the songs feature the sounds of nature that are present all around us; musical instruments and their role in the orchestra; renowned composers and their works; numerous music styles and famous dances as well as the history of music.
Artists who have been working with us for many years ensure that the atmosphere of the songs is outstanding. Michał Tokaj, who composes the music, is a jazz pianist and winner of many music industry prizes, including numerous statues of Fryderyk. Vocal support comes from Aga Zaryan and Sean Palmer. The lyrics, bursting with rhymes and educational value, were written by Joanna Zarańska.
Just like every year, we are inviting our students to make their musical piece. In the spring we are joining together in a professional recording studio where children will sing their versions of the project songs. It is definitely our favourite moment of the school year as it creates bundles of satisfaction and joy!
This year all the songs for the FEEL THE MUSIC Project are available through the Early Stage music app.
Take another piece of music to your home! Listen to it while relaxing and share it with your dear ones. Music possesses great power and potential. We should make use of it! FEEL THE MUSIC!
Through the FEEL THE MUSIC Project we support the activities of four different non-government organisations that keep the artistic and social development of children at the centre of their work.
We help the Muzyka jest dla wszystkich Foundation (Music Is for Everyone) in organising music classes for children and teenagers from educational centres in the Praga district of Warsaw. Our support for the international initiative Brave Kids is focused on local activities in Rzeszów that help children from distant places in the world come together and participate in artistic projects. The main theme is music, of course. Moreover, this is our second year of cooperation with the Kosmos dla Dziewczynek Foundation (Cosmic Space for Girls),creator and publisher of an influential magazine that empowers girls in Poland and all around the world. This year we are also supporting the aid activities of Polska Akcja Humanitarna (Polish Humanitarian Action) that take place all over the world as well as the Humanitarian School, focusing on global education and concerning many vital topics featured in the school curriculum. We proudly support these varied educational and aid projects carried out by one of the largest organisations in Poland.
